The structure of Def can be divided into the following components:

• The main shaft.

  It is a wooden ring, measuring 5 to 5.6 cm in weight and it has a circle 50 to 55 cm that creates a recess on the back of the wood which is the location of the thumb.

• Skin.

  Two types of skin are used to make Def: Natural and artificial. Skin drawn on the wrapper.

• Rings.

  They are mounted on the wall, with 3 or 4 metal rings which are mounting 3 cm from the skin and 1 cm from the side handle.

• Studs.

  They are used to restrain and keep the skin on the coil.
