Baba Davood, son of Hassan Ganai and the grandson of Mohammad Ganaei, born in the Nawa Yura district, Kashmir's temperate zones in 1477 AD (882 LC).

He completed his religious studies as a teenager and he taught all the sciences until the age of twenty-four, and at the same time, he taught science in scientific institutes in young ages.

 

Baba Davood Khaki eventually became a disciple of the Jalali dynasty, and he austerity for several years in the Ouch Maltan monastery.

Baba Davood Khaki ordered to establish a monastery in most of parts of the Indian subcontinent and the spiritual adherents were honored of the Baba Dawood taught in Iran. The long life and long journeys of Baba Davood Khaki caused increase of the branches of the Jalali dynasty. He wrote valuable books and treatises such as the Dard al-Moridin and its description, the command of Salkin, the Qasida of necessities and its description, the Al-Fawaid collection, the Ghoslieh Qasida, the Jalaliyah Qasida and the Lamiah Qasida.

After 112 years of life, Baba Davood Khaki died in the second month of 1586 AD (the second month of 994 LC). His tomb is in Kashmir next to his elder Hamzah Kashmiri. After Baba David Khaki, the word “Khaksar” was added to the Abu Torabi Jalali dynasty.
